Amble was founded by Jade and George — two experienced dog care professionals with a shared passion for dogs and their wellbeing. We’re both DBS checked, dog first aid trained, and continually committed to deepening our knowledge through ongoing professional development.
Our hands-on qualifications include in-person canine first aid training with The Animal Academy (aligned with UK legislation and current veterinary best practice), as well as the Advanced Dog Trainer Course with Will Atherton. We’ve also completed multiple accredited courses with the IMDT, covering canine body language, aggression and rehabilitation, training exercises, and puppy development. This foundation allows us to confidently advocate for every dog in our care — creating fulfilling, safe, and enriching experiences with every walk, stay, or training session.
After years of offering a part-time dog walking service in South London, Jade and George made the leap to full-time in 2019, settling in Crouch End — an area known for its beautiful woods and green spaces. It was the perfect setting to grow a small, thoughtful business doing what we love.
Amble Dogs officially launched in early 2020, built on a simple idea: to offer high-quality, relationship-led care with a focus on trust, enrichment, and calm handling.
In 2025, we expanded to Margate, bringing the same standard of care to the coast — now with the added magic of beachside walks and sea air. Today, George covers our London clients, while Jade leads our Margate service, ensuring continuity, familiarity, and personal care in both locations.
At Amble, we believe that great dog care thrives in small, thoughtful environments — not in overcrowded groups or long hours spent being ferried around in vans. We keep our walking groups small and carefully curated, matching dogs by size, temperament, and play style. This allows us to create calm, balanced packs where dogs feel secure, and where positive habits are nurtured and less helpful behaviours are gently redirected.
As trained behaviourists, we use every walk as an opportunity to guide, support, and enrich. We believe in quality over quantity, in building strong relationships, and in giving dogs the space to enjoy real experiences — not just being clocked in and out. We also understand that every dog, and every owner, is different. That’s why we offer a flexible, client-focused service — adapting to individual needs while always remaining consistent, reliable, and committed to the highest standards of care.
More than just a walk - we offer calm, fulfilling outings shaped by expertise and attention to detail. Our group walks last a minimum of one hour, with flexibility to go longer depending on your dog’s needs and energy levels. Each group is carefully curated by size, temperament, and play style — we don’t mix dogs at random. We prioritise consistency to help dogs build strong social bonds, but are also able to offer flexible scheduling for those who need it. As experienced canine behaviourists, we guide each walk with calm leadership — reinforcing good habits, encouraging positive social interaction, and keeping you connected with photo and video updates after every outing.
For dogs who are already part of our walking family, we offer a trusted house sitting service — allowing your dog to stay in the comfort of their own home while you’re away. They’ll be cared for by an experienced handler they already know and love, with their usual routines maintained to the letter — from walks and meals to bedtime rituals. This is a bespoke, one-to-one service, shaped entirely around your dog’s needs and personality. We keep you closely connected with daily updates, so you can relax knowing your dog is settled, safe, and happy at home.
We offer one-to-one training sessions designed to build confidence, improve communication, and strengthen the bond between you and your dog. Whether you're working on recall, lead manners, reactivity, or general obedience, our approach is calm, clear, and personalised — always tailored to your dog’s individual needs, breed traits, and learning style. We focus on balanced, practical techniques that support long-term behaviour change and help dogs feel more relaxed and understood in everyday life. Sessions can take place at home, out on walks, or in real-world environments — wherever your dog needs support most.
We are here to assist with all your dog walking, sitting, and training needs across Margate, Kent & Crouch End, London. Whether you have questions about our services or want to schedule a session, we'd love to hear from you.
